Cilantro and Culantro are two different plants belonging to same family (Apiaceae)!.
Culantro is native of Mexico and South America, and South Asia!. Culantro is widely used in Caribbeans, Vietnam, and Malaysia!.
The leaves have similar taste, Culantro is stronger and harsher than Cilantro!.

In India Culantro is called Jungli-Dhania, Bhan-Dhania, or wild coriander!. The Coriander is called Dhania!. The leaves of Dhania are called Hara Dhania!. Culantro is not normally used in USA or India!. The leaves of Coriander are called Cilantro and used as fresh in India and USA!.
However, dried Culantro is passed on as Dried Cilantro leaves in India as well as in USA!. The Cilantro is too delicate to be dried!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
