Sushi doesn't mean raw fish, what it actually refers to is the vinegared rice that is used in Japanese cuisine!. You're probably thinking of maki, which are the rolls that people commonly call sushi over here!. In most Japanese restaurants I've been to here in the US, they do have maki that does not have fish!. They are sometimes filled with egg, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, chicken and pretty much anything else!. It really depends on the restaurant you go to!. All the types of maki are different so just go to a restaurant and they will list the ingredients of each one on the menu!. Most people trying "sushi" for the first time will get California or Philadelphia rolls!. Just look for something you think you might like!. Enjoy!Www@FoodAQ@Com
My favorite has avocado, crab, eggs, seaweed and rice in it sometimes shrimp as well, it is the best i have had, and guess what my dad makes it!. but he is not a pro or anything he just got a resipie or the net there is with out a doubt sushi with out fish!. but were to buy it is a different story!. if you want there are plenty of places to get resipies fo sushi rice on the net and places to buy sushi fillings!. to make you own sushi and put whatever you want in it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
