Do you think Indian food is too spicy?!

Question: Do you think Indian food is too spicy!?
Answers:
We have to distinguish between Spicy, and 'Spicy Chili Hot'!.
Indian food is spicier than most of the western cuisine!. A typical curry has 5 to 10 spices!. Example: Turmeric, Funugreek, Cardamom, Coriander, Cumin, Cinnamon, Cloves, Nutmeg!. These spices are not Hot, they just add to flavor and aroma!.
There are few spices added for heat: Black Peppercorn, Dried Ginger, Green Chili, Dried Red chili!.
Red chili packs the most heat!. The heat is toned down by adding creams and souring agents!. Many of the North Indian dishes use limited amount of red chilies!. Vindaloos happens to be the hottest dish!.
In general, Indian food is spicy, but not spicy-hot!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

From my limited experience I'd say a definite yes!
I've tried tandoori chicken, chicken jalfrazi, chicken tikka masala, aloo gobi!.
The ones I've tried were quite spicy!.
Not that I didn't like it, I generally like spicy food as much as the next guy!.!.!. however, I prefer feeling the taste of the food not of the spices!.!.!.
On the other hand, it really calls for lots of cold ones to quench the pinch!.!.!. :))Www@FoodAQ@Com

depends on the amount of chili added!. The real trick to soften the spiciness depends on the item:
the following are blending agents that will lessen the aggressiveness of the spice!.
a!. 3 tbsp of sor cream
b!. 1/2 cup of whipping cream
c!. fresh cut tomatoes
d!. add mashed potatoes
e!. add corn flour solution to the mix and cook again
f!. add besan as above chick pea flour
g!. add lemon juice to taste
h!. add white vinegar to taste
i!. add white of an egg and cook again
j!. add softened butter to the product!.
k!. most important - dont loose this recipe!. ram
