A hoagie is made from a big loaf of French bread, cut lengthwise, meats and veggies piled on - then cut into big chunks to eat!.

But, it seems that people have come to use these terms interchangeably - like these two, also hero or po'boy!.

A Rose by any other name is still a Rose!. They are all about the same depending on the area of the country you are eating them at!. Some are made by cutting french bread into different lenghts and others made on rolls baked for the sandwich!.
