It's tough!. I don't really think you can choose because they're so different!. Thai food is very richly, intensely flavored, whereas Japanese food is delicious for its simplicity and the delicate balance of flavors (I'm not even talking about sushi)!. A bold spicy curry can be just as brilliant as a beautifully seasoned dashi!. Both have their merits, their unrivaled signature foods and spices, incredible moments of satisfaction, and I enjoy both too much to be able to choose one over the other!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
gotta love the number of people who think that Japanese food consists mainly of raw fish!. i hope they get out more!.
to answer your question, i prefer Thai food, but not the sad attempt that is served in Western restaurants, but the lovely food from the many street stalls throughout Thailand!.
in saying that, i believe that Japanese food travels better as it is much closer to genuine quality outside the country than Thai food is!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you pick the right menu you will find some of our food are similar!. Except for sushi ofcoz that's very unique of Japs!. Im thai but also hungry for JAps food time to time!. Teriyaki is great raw salmon with soya sauce and wasabi is great aswell!.
but There are more than sweet and spicy taste in Thai food if you dare to try new things!. I recommand all YUM things with sticky rice!.

Japanese--sushi, mainly!. I like Thai, but it's usually just way too sweet!. I'm not a fan of teriyaki, or really any other kind of Japanese food other than sushi!. I like sushi because it's clean and not all greasy and fatty!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I like both, but will go for Thai food if I had to choose!. Most Japanese dishes are too bland for my taste!. Thai food is almost always either flaming hot, mouth-watering sour, or interestingly sweet!. Sometimes its all three!
