Do you look Asian or Hispanic but don't like rice, noodles, or hot tea?!
People mistake me for Latina or Asian and get so surprised that I don't like rice, noodles, and hot tea!. They are kind of puzzled when I say I can't live without oatmeal and potatoes!.

Well, as human we tend to group things together to make sense of the world, so the reaction to your likes and dislikes of food based on your appearance is "normal" and expected!.
It is same as a young american boy says that he does not like hamburger or french fries!.
I am an Asian that likes rice, noodles and hot tea!. But having lived in North America for the past 20 years, I also appreciate western foods!. In fact, I like most foods!. As they say, variety is the spice of life!.

Im a Singaporean-born Indonesian & since young so many people mistook me for another race!. When I was young boy, they thought Im a South Indian, as a teen, thought Im a Chinese & now people thought Im either a Thai or Filipino!.
