What is the hottest (spiciest) thing on the planet!

Question: What is the hottest (spiciest) thing on the planet
and where do you get it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Hi!.

With peppers a method Scoville unit is used to specify the hotness of a food, specifically peppers!. In 1912 Wilbur Scoville, devised a system to determine how hot foods are!. He used a panel of tasters to provide heat scores for different peppers!. The sensation of heat that we experience from eating certain peppers is due to a chemical called capsaicin!. The more capsaicin present in a pepper, the hotter it will taste!.

Scoville Units

16,000,000 Pure Capsaicin [Capsaicin: is the active component of chili peppers]

855,000 Naga Jolokia
580,000 Red Savina Habanero
350,000 Habanero Pepper
325,000 Scotch Bonnet Pepper
200,000 Jamaican Hot Pepper
100,000 Thai Pepper
50,000 Cayenne Pepper
30,000 Manzano Pepper
23,000 Serrano Pepper
10,000 Chipotle Pepper
8,000 Jalapeno Pepper
5,000 Tabasco Sauce
2,500 Rocotilla Pepper

2,000 Poblano Pepper
2,000 Ancho Pepper
1,000 Coronado Pepper

There is a pepper in India!. I think it's called the papil pepper!. I'm not sure!. It has a heat index of 800,000 scoville units!. The habenero has a heat index of 500,000 scoville units, making it the second hottest pepper!. The habenero is probably the only thing you're going to find in the local grocery store though, and it's plenty hot enough for just about everyone!. It also has the best flavor of all the hot peppers in my opinion!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Salutations,
The spiciest thing on Earth would be a substance called "Pure Cap" and it is just that Pure Capstacin, the substance that makes peppers Hot!. It measures 16 million scovil units and leaves Habenero's in the dust, it is also pure agony, don't expect to be able to taste anything else for hours if you use this little baby on your food!. I imagine you can buy it where ever you get your Hot sauce!. but would you really want to!? Yes I own a bottle of which I have probably used 6 drops of in the 4 years I have owned it!. I feel it is simply a curiosity in my collection!. CheersWww@FoodAQ@Com
