Do some/most italian meat sauces contain sausage in the meat or is it hamburger meat?!

I grew up in Florence and the meat sauce, (the most famous of them Bolognese) is made with ground beef or a mixture of beef and pork!.
Italians born in the US or people that they think that they are italian just because their grandparents came from Italy make italian pasta sauces that cannot be, in my opinion be called Italian, but American-Italian!.

To make my sauce I use hamburger(meatballs), pork hocks, ribs!. sometime brushall!. You can use sausage but its not usually mixed in the burger!. It doesnt taste as good with sausage because its too greasy and seems to thin it out some!. All these meats are what gives sauce that great taste!. I am italian so maybe others do it differently!. Carrabbas Italian Grill is a place right here where I live and really want to try sometime!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Well yeah, I've had spaghetti with italian sausage in it before, but I can't tell you the answer having never had food at this Carrabbas italian Grill!. Sausage is pork!.!.!.it's pretty easy to tell from beef!. It's grittier for one, and the flavor is!.!.!.well, different!. There very well may have been sausage, but generally it's meatball (beef)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've always assumed it was hamburger unless other wise stated!. And I think its entirely possible for the meat in spaghetti sauce to be sausage or any thing different than hamburger!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
