Here in Canada, I have bought them at a local kosher butcher made from beef, here they are referred to as "Boerewors" or South African beef sausages!.
I liked them very tastey, do they make them with other meats in S Africa!?!?, I am a former chef and I just happen buy the butcher shop one day and saw the sign for them and bought 2, quite large and liked them immenselyWww@FoodAQ@Com

it's still called boerwors!. Americans tend to take the names from the counbtry of origin (except hotdogs)Www@FoodAQ@Com
