France has horse butchers!. Called "Boucheries chevalline"!.
I had horse meat at an izakaya (Japanese style drinking place)!. It was served raw, chilled!. It doesn't taste bad!.

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Chile, China, France, Germany, Iceland, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malta, Mongolia, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, and (until fairly recently, the United States)!.

France! You can even find Horse butcher shops in France and the meat is expensive too!.

Spittelfields market in London used to sell Pony!.
The restaurant I worked in used it for lasagne, chilli etc!.

In Japan they eat them raw, it is available as a sushi I think!.
