Perogis...what to eat them with? ?!

Question: Perogis!.!.!.what to eat them with!? !?
Hi!.!.I'm preparing a German type meal and I am serving vegetarian bratwurst, sauerkraut, rolls (to put the brats in), and potatoes

I also want to serve perogis!. Yeah yeah, I know they're Polish, Not German, but they seem to fit the theme/meal

I recently bought a box of frozen perogis that are filled with mashed potato and cheese!. They were yummy but!.!.!.!.!.

I want to "do something" more with them!.!.!. any suggestions for a sauce, or way to make them into a "dish" Something to add a little "oomph" to the perogis!?!?

Any thoughts!?!?

Answers:
sure!
bake them with your choice of pasta sauce!.

or make a simple mix of ketchup and mayo (sounds gross, but is delish with perogies) as a dipping sauce!.

it really depends if your frying or baking!.

Not sure it would fit into your German theme, but curried perogies are fantastic!. Saute some onion in butter, throw in some curry powder and cook the perogies till they are cooked through and a bit browned!. Serve with a bit of plain yogurt!.

Other options are to try different spices with the onions and butter!. Ones with a bit of heat are the best with the potato & pasta combo!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I've had them a bunch of different ways that were all good!. Spaghetti sauce and salsa are both tasty!. To fit the theme of your meal a little better, you can saute some onions in butter, toss the pirogi in with that, and serve with sour cream on the side!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I serve perogis with anything that I would normally serve potatoes, noodles or rice with!. I boil them, then serve topped with onion slices, sauteed in butter and a dolup of sour cream and sometimes chives!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Serve them with a white sauce, well-seasoned with salt, white pepper, and a little nutmeg!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Fry onions and butter in skillet, after boiling perogies throw
them in skillet till golden! Yum Yum!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have used spaghetti sauce before with the cheese ones and they were a hit!.
