I had an Arabic friend as I child and loved eating these snacks at her house!.

One snack was seeds (not shelled) with (blackish) spices!. The other snack was pita dipped in a plate of oil and then dipped in a bowl of dry spices!.

Answers:
Not sure about the first snack, but I'm very familiar with the second one!.
Its called "Zeit O Za'atar" (Zeit means oil, and the oil used is olive oil, while Za'atar is the mix of tangy greenish dry spices)!.

Do you by any chance remember the type of seeds in the 1st snack!? Or at least try to describe them!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
