Is a ranchero sauce (like at Taco Bell) and a wasabi sauce the same thing?!

Question: Is a ranchero sauce (like at Taco Bell) and a wasabi sauce the same thing!?
I'm wanting to make the Ranchero chicken soft taco at home like they have at Taco Bell, but I've never seen a "ranchero" sauce in stores, but I've seen a wasabi sauce!. They're both green and look similar, I was just wondering if they tasted the same!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
ranchero is normally red and made from tomatoes, i haven't seen a green version and i lived in texas for a long time
tomatillo is green and made from tomatillos
wasabi is made from a root in japan and is very hot, it is expensive so they fake it with colored horseradish in the us

they are not the same at all and wasabi is very, very hot!

look in the mexican section for ranchero, not the asian section !.!.!.wherever you are getting the black beans, taco shells, tortillas, salsa, look for the glass jars of ranchero by chi chi's or other brandsWww@FoodAQ@Com

Erica,
The answer to your question is NO! Wasabi is very HOT!. It is used in Japanese cuisine and is usually mixed with soy sauce or vinegar to cut it's potency!. Eaten as is, it will clear your sinuses, take your breath away and make your eyes tear!.
For your chicken taco try enchilada sauce, it's green and found in the Mexican food isle!. There is also a green taco sauce which is milder than the red taco sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ranchero is based on green Chile's and tomatillas and is excellent but in no way shape or form is it anything like wasabi!. Wasabi is Jap horse radish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
