Question: Is Tamari and Tamarind the same thing!?

I'm gonna be making pad thai!. I've seen both mentioned in different recipes and I just wanna know what the difference is!? Thanx!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Tamari is a soy sauce type product where as a Tamarind is a Crazy dried fruit looking thing that tastes like a date mixed with dried apricots!. So no not the same!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
