Answers:
That name actually has two separate dishes in it!. Koew tiew (kuay diao, gooay diew) is a beef noodle soup that is similar to Vietnamese pho, this is also the Thai term for rice noodles!. Pad ki mao (or maw) is a fried noodle dish - it literally translates to "stir-fried s**t drunk"!. It is also called drunken noodles and is believed to be a good hangover cure!. I'm guessing the dish you are referring to is just plain pad ki mao gai, it is very popular in Thai restaurants and here is the recipe http://importfood!.com/recipes/keemao!.htm!.!.!. !. If it is a soup your mom likes so much here is the recipe for koew tiew http://importfood!.com/recipes/tbeefnoodd!.!.!. !. I have never heard of a dish that is called by the entire name you've given, but a word for word translation is

koew tiew - rice noodles
phad - stir fried
ki - s**t (used as an adjective)
maw - drunk
gai - chickenWww@FoodAQ@Com

"Gai" means chicken
"Pad" (or "phad") means noodles
"maw" means stomach or gut

The names of Thai dishes tend to just be a list of their ingredients, so rather than looking up the whole name, look up the separate words, you'll figure it out easier!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

any other clues as to what it's made of!? i searched and found many variants of keow teow phad!. You misspelled keow and teow though!.

Hope it helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com
