What is a good recipe for an Asian Stir Fry sauce similar to the frozen ones?!
I love the Asian Stir Fry sauce you buy in the frozen section, with the frozen assorted vegetables and then the little packet of sauce!?
I can taste what I think is a bit of honey and I'm guessing a little bit of ginger!. I've also heard of hoisin sauce being used as well!.
What is a recipe I can follow to make the sauce like in the frozen stir fry packets!?
Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here are a few sauces for you to try:
#1: Combine: 1/4 C!. light loy sauce, 1 tsp!. toasted sesame oil, 1 T!. chopped green onions, 1 tsp!. sugar, 1 clove of garlic (minced)
#2: A variation on #1 instead of chopped green onions & garlic, add in finely grated ginger (1 tsp!.)
If you so desire, you can use Hoisin sauce (Chinese BBQ sauce)!. You can combine that with some Chinese Black Bean with Chili oil to make an interesting sauce!.
Here's a list of other ingredients you might want to experiment with:
-Vietnamese red chili sauce (Sriacha)
-Shaoshing wine (Chinese rice wine)
-Fresh sprigs of cilantro
-Sweet chili sauce
-Vietnamese fish sauce (moc nam!?) -Be careful with this one!.!.!.a little goes a long way
-Oyster sauce-Ok it's not as scary as it sounds, chances are if you've ever eaten at a Chinese restaurant then you HAVE eaten it and probably liked it as it is used in alot of the "brown" sauces!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
