Question: Why are {most} Chinese people skinny if their food is greasy and fried!?
Answers:
I believe it has to do with race and metabolism!. My husband is Singaporean of Chinese-Indonesian decent!. I'm an American of European-Hispanic decent!. My husband eats A LOT of food, especially Chinese food and he NEVER packs on the pounds!.

For example: One day, my husband was hungry!. So he decided to order two Big Macs and he ate both in one sitting!. THREE HOURS LATER!.!.!.he's hungry again and he consumed an over sized bowl of pho (Vietnamese noodles!.) He never gained an ounce of fat and he never got sick either!.

If I were to eat a fast-food hamburger (Carl's, preferably) I'd end up gaining five pounds!. It isn't fair at all!. I have to restrict calories every day of my life while my husband dines on huge portions of bao zai and Mongolian lamb!. I envy him so much!

My husband is 40 years old, but he looks like he's 17!. He is 5'5" and weighs 125 pounds!. He's absolutely amazing!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A lot of Americanized Chinese food consists of a lot of frying and meat just like Sweet and Sour pork or Orange chicken from Panda Express!. In Hong Kong everyone is skinny because the way that the food is prepared is completely different!. My family prepares most foods by steaming and stir frying!. When it comes to stir frying they use a lot less oil and they mainly eat rice, fish, vegetables and soups!. also, when it comes to metabolism, big city people tend to have faster metabolisms due to walking as their source of transportation!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it is a combination of factors actually!. One, not all their food is fried!.!.!.they actually eat a lot of steamed food, which is much healthier!. American Chinese food is mostly fried, but that is not representative of all Chinese food!. Two, their portion sizes are much smaller compared to the average Americans, who eat everything and the kitchen sink (lol)!. Third, they could have faster metabolism or are genetically predisposed to be smaller!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

2!. Not all Chinese food is greasy and fried just like pizza and hamburgers are not the end-all be-all of American cuisine!. Much of it is very healthy!. And what fried items there are are not eaten on an everyday basis!.

you should not act so ignorant, american chinese food is nothing like the food they eat in asia, rice is a staple along with many healthy vegetables, and fresh fish, they do not have msg fried ginger beef!.!.!.sorry Www@FoodAQ@Com
