Do greek and Iranian Foods use a lot of nut ingredients? ?!

Question: Do greek and Iranian Foods use a lot of nut ingredients!? !?
I am living in a student house with a greek girl and an iranian guy (neither of whom i have met yet) and i was wondering if anyone knew if the foods they are likely to be cooking will contain nuts!. I am highly allergic to nuts and have reacted from simply being in the same room as them!.

Thank you in advance :) xWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
In comparison to Thai food or Indian food, no!. But certain dishes may contain nuts (although students usually dont tend to cook elaborate dishes)!. Definitely discuss your allergy situation with them and let them know!. I love both Greek and Persian food, you are lucky if they can cook some great dishes for you!

I really don't know much about iranian food, but i do know a lot about Greek food (because i am Greek) and i can tell you that in desserts, there are a lot of nuts used!. In regular food, not as abundant!. I would do some research to find out some more information on iranian food!. Hope this helps!Www@FoodAQ@Com
