Do all Koreans like eating kimchi?!


Question: Do all Koreans like eating kimchi!?
I've just been to South Korea and was amazed by the place but I was not impressed with the food!. Kimchi is fermented vegetables and to me, it just smells like its gone off!. I beleive its a staple food there but do all Koreans like it!? - or do some people sympathise with us poor westerners who are expected to eat it by our hosts!!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

well, i could agree with u on a base of being unfamiliar with it to dislike the first encounter, but it (kimchee) being an acquire taste!. it will grow in taste as u get familiar with it!.

u know western european cheese is like kimchee in smell but doesn't it have an addiction whan grown to the taste!? i never had any european cheese!. in fact my first encounter was the good old american cheese witch i never really liked, but in time it had a kick of addiction to it!. i now never eat hamburgers with out cheese and sometimes crave for a good old american cheese!. good luck with ur kimchee expierience next time u encounter it again!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

of course not all koreans like kimchi!.!. just like not all americans eat pizza, not all scots eat haggis, and not all canadians eat elk!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ok well My step dad moved here from korea and yes him a my mom eat that stuff all the time! I agree it smells BAD!. All it is is cabbage and some ( stinky red stuff) lol Www@FoodAQ@Com
