Why does Caribbean cuisine honk when its being cooked?!

YES!.!.!.I live above a family who always cook Caribbean food that STINKS!. It is worse on a Sunday for some reason and smells of Onions and Garlic!. They also seem to be up preparing this at about 7am and it lasts all day!.!.!.!.good question my friend!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I am a british woman who cooks caribbean food, and I have never heard such crap in all my life!. There are certains foods from every country that may have an acquired smell!. But on the whole I find that british food smells and taste bad and I think that this is due to the british not understanding the importance of washing and seasoning food properly!.
