Answers:
Firs of all the answer is no
Japan has two world record which are country with the most long living life in the world and the most fish consuming country!.
sushi is very good source of omega and protein and other vitamins!.
HOWEVER because of the pollution around the world some fish have low or high level or mercury!. The bigger the fish the more mercury level!.
also fusion sushi like rolls with many different sauces might also have
non natural ingredients which can be high in fat!.
So it is best if you can have sushi like a once a week or two, try to eat mostly just the traditional sushi!. people who are afraid of liver problem should stay away from fatten part of fish or fatty fish such as Toro ( tuna belly) white tuna(butter fish, oil fish, escolar not really a tuna kind), Hamachi toro( yellowtail belly), Engawa ( halibut fin)!.
RAW FISH IS GOOD FOR YOU WHEN ITS FRESH so if the fish does not seem to be in good quality just get out and don't ever come back!.
you can tell the freshness by the texture and color and smell and taste!.
Fresh flesh of fish does not have darken edge or part and does not smell fishy AT ALL unless its marinaed mackerel (level if fishiness is different from westerners and japanese so it is tricky to tell you)

Eating a lot of raw fish can damage one of your organs!. I think the liver!. Eating raw fish once in a while doesn't hurt!. The fish has to be fresh!. Eating it with soy sauce, vinegar, and wasabi may kill some of the bacteria/ parasites or whatever!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
