There are so many different kinds of sushi!. Some of it is raw, some is cooked, some is vegetarian!. Someone said sushi = vinegar rice, which is true, but probably not what you're looking for!.

If you don't like fish, you should still try raw sushi!. Why!? Because it doesn't have a "fishy" taste to it, not at all!. It tastes very light and fresh!.

Some of the sushi will be things like eel, octopus, scallop, clam, or squid!. Don't let any of those names intimidate you! You don't know if you like it until you try it! Keep in mind that these foods are incredibly popular around the world, so you shouldn't automatically think it's gross and not taste it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sushi is actually vinegered rice!. nigiri which is the hand formed sushi is commonly refer to sushi but maki (roll), Te Maki (hand roll), Chirashi(bowl of sushi rice with other ingredients on top) are also sushi

It shouls taste like the combination of rice and the fish!.
because of todays high tech preservation method you can enjoy every kind of fish regardless of its season!. And because sushi is about showing the ingredients true taste it does not go through many process of "cooking" it is prepared to keep its taste much as possible!.

Sushi is actually the Japanese version of a sandwich!.

It's basically rice flavoured with rice vinegar, sugar and salt and then shaped into different shapes!.
It can be topped with raw fish or seafood, some can also be rolled in nori (seaweed) with a sweet omelette or vegetable fill!.

It's great, usually served with wasabi (green paste - hot!), pickled ginger (pink shavings of ginger) and soy sauce!.

Rice provides a lot of energy and the ingredients it's used with should always be the very best quality which makes quite popular with those watching what they eat - it's also filling and yummy!

Ahaha!.!.!. I don't really taste the fish when I eat sushi!. I don't eat sashimi, nor have I!. Sashimi is raw fish, no rice!.

Sushi is fish/vegetables with rice and nori!.

My favorite sushi is tamago (egg), kani (crab) ebi (shrimp) ebikyuu (shrimp and cucumber) tako (octopus) and ika (squid)!.

Don't knock it until you try it!. ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

sushi doesn't always taste like fish!. there are vegetarian rolls where there's only carrots, cucumbers, etc!. california rolls are like inside out sushi rolls with avocado and various other vegetables, rolled in sesame seeds after assembly!. when they use fish, i think they either cure the fish (stick it on a big chunk of salt and let it sit) or they smoke it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It kind of depends on the type of sushi you have!. Some like Pink Panther sushi or California roll, really don't taste like fish but others might!.Yes it is raw fish or another kind of seafood!.It can be a little tangy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

it depends on which kind you eat, but the sashimi u eat with soy sauce doesn't taste bad, taste like soy sauce but the other other stuff like urchin, and stuff is kind of overboard!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
