What Non-fish Sushi dishes are there?!

Question: What Non-fish Sushi dishes are there!?
I recently started to like sushi!. However for reasons I won't say, I don't eat fish!. I used to only eat crab rolls and the one lobster roll they offered in this one restaurant, but we moved!. I never bothered to look at the other ones!.

Farther from the sea here, they use immatation crab, and I haven't gotten over fish yet!. So I stay away from it!.

Do they have immatation lobster I should fear!?

My main question are what other Japanese sushis don't contain fish that you'd recommend!?

I'd like their names so I can look them up online and keep an eye out for them on the menus!. Most sushi menus don't say well what's in them after all!.

Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Here are some common kinds of non-fish sushi:
tamago (egg)
kyuuri, also called kappa maki (cuccumber)
inari-zushi (sushi rice in fried tofu pouch)
ebi (shrimp)
unagi (freshwater eel)
anago (saltwater eel)
ika (squid)
kani (crab)
nasu (eggplant)
kohn (corn)
aburi (abalone)
uni (sea urchin)
kanimiso (uh, crab head contents)
natto (fermented soybeans)
the last three are not to be taken lightly!.
and anything ending -kai is shellfish!.
sometimes they also have "foreign" sushi like beef, avacado, etc!.
oh, and futomaki just means "big roll" -- it's that, uh, sliced big rolled type of sushi with a few different ingredients inside!. It's often vegetarian, but not always!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

TAMAGO!!! Its sweetened egg so delicious!!!
All kani rolls are using imitation crab, so you can find that anywhere!.
Tako is boiled, ebi are boiled too (tako=octopus, ebi=shrimp)

Cucumber rolls are good!. They can make asparagus, avacado, just about any vegetable you wish!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

You don't like raw fish or any type of seafood!?

My favorite is Unagi!.!.!. which is broiled eel with a slightly sweet glaze!.

There's always shrimp!.

Another option is California Roll which is crab (some places use imitation crab)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

SDFH is right on the money!. Don't forget to ask what some of the house specials are (do NOT order a house roll, though, it has tuna in it)!.

I would like to add a few to SDFH's list, and with pictures for fun!

This website really gives a LOOOOT of great information about the Japanese names and what they mean!. A LOT! http://www!.sushifaq!.com/terminology!.htm

Remember: miso soup is made with miso (soy), but udon soup's broth is made from bonito, which is a fish!

I usually go for tofu, avocado or seaweed salad -- yum! That's my favourite!. And most places I know just do a vegie one with bell peppers and cucumber with sesame seeds and stuff!. Most places here (Melbourne, Australia) have a good variety of vegetarian ones you can choose from!. Sometimes there are egg, if that's your thing, but there are good animal cruelty reasons to avoid eggs!. I haven't seen any Japanese names for these, they just write them in English on the menu -- sorry not to be more helpful there!. "Futomaki" I think is the name for vegie California rolls generally, if I remember correctly!.

You can also get plain inari which is the sweet beancurd stuffed with rice!. also good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
