Question: Are there different types of hot sauces for different cultures!? If so, can someone give me some examples!.!?
I am doing this report about hot sauces and i want to know if there are different hot sauces for a country or culture!. I know that the Afghans have a green type of hot sauce called chatnie, and the Chinese have that red hot sauce which i always see in the Chinese Restaurants!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

Hot sauce is very popular in Hispanic cultures!. Mexican hot sauce focuses on flavor more than heat!. Some are really vinegary!. There are different kinds in North America, too, tabasco being one of them!. Louisiana-style hot sauce is the most popular in North America!. The West Indies has several different kinds, as it's very popular in Caribbean cuisine!. There are also many different kinds in Asia, too!.

in Japan, there are very hot sauces made from peppers, but wasabi is a root from a plant that thrives near and around clear flowing waters!.
Its green and usually served with sushi and also used in dips for noodles!.
