Maybe you didn't eat an authentic sushi!. Did you buy from a grocer like Meijer or Walmart!?
Those sushi are not made by Japanese!.
Did you eat at Faux Sushi restaurant, made by Koreans or Chinese!? They make okay sushi, but not as good as Japanese!.
I live near Novi Michigan currently, the population of Japanese is high! So, I eat really good sushi!. Expensive but worth it!.

Not all California rolls taste the same!. I have had some really good ones, and others I would not eat again!. The avocado and cucumber are pretty much staples, but they can be made with either fresh crab, fake crab, or crab salad!. Some have mayonnaise, some do not!. Some are rolled with the nori on the outside and others are rolled "inside out"!. Some are sprinkled with sesame seed and others with flying fish eggs!. California rolls are "American" sushi and come in different varieties!. If you have only tried it once!. !.!.give it another shot (unless you hate avocados and/or cucumbers)!.!.!.you might like it!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

instead of complaining about it, just find some roll that you do like!.!. there are as many different kinds of rolls as there are people out there!.!. if you cant find something on the menu that you like, then ask the sushi-sei to make you a roll with the things that you do like!.!.

California rolls used to be mainstream food, but now nobody really thinks about them anymore!.
