What is the best way to do teppan-yaki meal at home ? ?!

In Japan, there are specially made teppan-at-home grills, but in my experience, they are no different than electric grills with a bigger price tag!.
The best thing to do if you are doing Teppan yaki is to buy really high quality and premium steaks, chicken, and seafood!. You really don't want to skimp out on the quality or the cuts of steaks, I get my steaks from premium or gourmet stores(such as Omaha Steaks), and not the grocery store bought steak!. The premium quality steaks they have at teppan restaurants are not sold at regular grocery stores, and the steak distributors only sell them to steakhouses and premium restaurants!. Sometimes you can find expensive cuts at places like Costco or Price Club!. Basically, the steaks are cooked at a high heat and cooked very quickly, which is why quality is so important!.
Another little tidbit- in Japan, we never used oil on the grill!. They used to take a piece of beef fat and seared it all over the grill and used it as an oil!. I know it may sound gross, but it gives your vegetables and fried rice an amazing flavor!.!.and its the true way of doing it! :)

Traditionally it's done on an iron grill!. You can find those flat ones that go over both burners, front and back!. An electric grill might work !.Www@FoodAQ@Com
