Question: Every time I go to my neighborhood grocery store or any supermarket in my neighborhood there is a shortage or !?
none at all of fresh asparagus!? The store clerk gives an excuse, saying asparagus cost to much to buy any!. What is really going on with the prices of fresh asparagus!? Is anyone experiencing this problem at their grocery store!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

It's not in season in this country, so what you see is imported!. Probably the local stores don't want to stock too much, because it gets wilted easily!.

Lately we have not seen any available either!. I was told it wasn't in season, but that's bullhockey!.

Available year-round, spring is the best season for fresh asparagus!. Crops are harvested from late February to June, with April being the prime month!.

No, in fact it was on sale for 1!.99/lb at Waldbaum's, Long Island, NY this past week and the other stores around had it at $2!.99 per pound!. It was good quality too, nice thin stalks!. We wondered where is was from since it is not in season around here now!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you go to a cashier and ask for the manager
I only have 2 stores in this city and both carry "Some"
