Chili relleno recipe...that is baked without the egg mixture.?!

Question: Chili relleno recipe!.!.!.that is baked without the egg mixture!.!?
I had a chili relleno at a local restaurant that I loved!. It seems pretty simple!. It was basically a pablano pepper stuffed with a beef mixture, a little sauce (tomato based), and cheese melted over the top!. I haved searched, but, cannot find a recipe that is not fried, or doesn't use the egg mixture to cover it!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

A lot of restaurants choose to bake the stuffed Chile's in a hot oven!. You can fill them loosely with what ever filling you like!.

Yeah the batter looks cute but is just a pain in the butt and if you are frying them they can just cause pots and pans to be thrown around with frustration as you watch them explode (or maybe that's just me)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you don't like egg batter an alternative is beer batter!. It will come out crunchier and fluffier than egg batter and with a different flavor!.

Another alternative is regular breadcrumbs (which would still require a layer of flour then egg first!. Panko breadcrumbs are really yummy too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can follow the recipe and throw them in the oven, (instead of frying them)!. The egg coating is optional!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
