Answers:
This sticky sesame seed candy can be made with cashews, almonds or pistachios!.

MOROCCAN SESAME SEED & NUT CANDY:

Sesame Candy

4 cups honey (orange blossom or any fragrant variety)
2 cups sesame seeds
1 cup nuts (crushed: almonds, cashews, pistachios!.!.!.)
peanut oil

In a deep, medium-size saucepan slowly heat honey over medium-low heat, using a heat diffuser, to the hard-crack stage (about 305 to 310° on a candy thermometer)!. Stir down often to prevent boiling over, about 45 minutes!. Stir in sesame seeds and nuts!. Set aside for a few minutes to cool slightly!.

Lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking sheet with peanut oil!. Do not use waxed paper!. Pour honey mixture onto it!. Set baking sheet on a cooling rack!. When cooled, but not hard, score into diamond shapes!. When cooled completely, remove candy and separate into pieces!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would think it more the pinenut than cashews, I ama former chef and the cashew is more and Indian nut, almond, walnuts, pinenuts, and hazelnuts are use more in the Arabic country's!.

You should be able to find Chinese pinenuts in Kuala Lampur, look in the area the nuts and dried goods are sold even western shops, like Italian or Spanish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
