"If it's broke then fix it!". This was the response from worker at a Chinese fresh produce grocery store w!
I accidentally missed my step and trip over a basket laying in the passage way!. At the time, I was in so much pain, and they saw it, and did not inquire if I was okay!. Everyone of them was laughing!. I don't know if they were Mexicans or Chinese!. I believe they were Mexicans unpacking that morning!. Yes it was early morning, and it was only I and another customer in that store!. I didn't like the treatment I was getting!. My ankle has this pale pink spot and swollen and painful!. But it is not painful to walk, but when I make certain movements or sit still, it stings!. It should be already black and blue but it looks like a fresh bruise!. This incident happened 3 days ago!. I haven't went back to the store to speak to the owner as yet!.!.!.it is far and my gas!. If the bruise is not that serious, I'd rather wait until I go back there to shop!. But I don't feel comfortable shopping there again!. It is the only store I can get certain things!. I have Celiac disease, so most of the natural foods I eat they sell!. Though they are at a good bit distance, they are the closest than other stores!. I don't know how best to approach the situation!. Any suggestions!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

go back there and tell the manager you are unhappy about what happened!. am sure they got cctv instore and it was their fault for leaving things lying round that way!. am sure thats in breach of health and safety!. if the manager doenst do anything, tell him you'd take it further!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
take pictures with dates a disposable camera!. go to the doctor if its serious get it fixed and go to the store with some of your bills they need to pay for them as they are negligent in keeping the basket on the floor!. they should have insurance to cover your injury!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
get over it, aint a big deal on what happened!. you can take legal action and get them in serious sh1t and really f*@k up the lives, OR just let it pass and carry on as usual!.

i agree it was very mean of them to laugh and not offer any assistance, but it does sound like you tripped up yourself, so while i dont think you can sue the store for damages, you can talk to the owner about the conduct of staff!.
anyway, hope you get better!.
