Yeah, Tacos Burritos, Tostadas, Gorditas, Huraches (Mexico City) Flautas (long flour taquitos), Enchiladas, Pozole (pork and hominy soup), Menudo (Beef Tripe Soup/ Hangover meal), Tortas (mexican sandwhiches) and the list goes on and on!. However, some people different styles of these foods!. For instance, the use of flour tortillas is almost extinct in Southern Mexico (unless it's a tourist hot spot like Cancun or Alcapulco)!. In Baja California they eat both flour and corn tortillas!. They specialize in awesome battered fish tacos!. They are the best, no other region could even step to them!. The tacos from Ensenada and Tijuana are also bomb!. They make all tacos with fresh guacamole!. also they have bar b que pork (El Pastor) tacos that's spinning with a pineapple and onion at the top!. The taco guy slices the meat right in to your taco and topped with bright green guacamole!. In the U!.S, it is fake and cooked on the pan!. also in southern Mexico regions like Jalisco they put beans in your taco and cabbage and some hot habanero sauce!. also, I noticed in Mexico that they usually have fresh handmade tortillas and way better salsas!. But bottom line is, the items they sale in the US are the same, but they way they cook it is way different!. also, burritos are unheard of in Southern Mexico!. So are ChimiChangas that's tex mex!. I have a friend who has a Mexican Restaurant, he said that some of hot spices had to be toned down a little!. My nephew is a preacher who goes to Mexico for revivals and he says the foods are different!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
Depends where u go to eat mexican food!. Burritos is more a texmex dish!. We have lots of main dishes such as pozle, birria, enchiladas pollo a la naranja etc!. Juzt to name a few!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
