Jellied eels are a common, tradition East London food!. I wouldn't eat that though, it makes me feel sick just thinking about it!. It's only really an East-End London thing!.

They also eat the pie and mash dish!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is "Jellied eels" which are cooked and cut into bite-sized pieces and added to a jelly made of aspic and they are usually served on their own with vinegar and pepper and bread, but there are also "Stewed Eels" which are usually served hot with "pie, mash and liquor" where the pie is a minced beef pie, the mash is mashed potatoes, and the liquor is a thin parsley sauce made with some of the water in which the eels were cooked!.
