Get items with crab and shrimp!. California Rolls are good, and what most people start with!. Although, you might want to get just 2 pieces of tuna and try it:) Yes, it's raw, but has absolutely NO fishy taste or smell to it !.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just dont order sashimi sushi if you're not ready!.

you should be quite safe ordering any type of maki-sushi (seaweed wrapped) sushi with fillings like cucumber and tamago (omelette) or temaki (large, cone-shaped seaweed roll)!. also try nigri-sushi with tamago or cooked unagi (eel) on top but be careful to avoid the sashimi-topped ones if you dont want to try them!.

but frankly sushi with raw fish taste really heavenly and is in a class of its own!. perhaps you can start out with those with torched tuna slices on top!.

im sorry to say this, but although california rolls taste good, they're not authentic japanese sushi!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I am going to try to get you to try just a sample of raw fish

you need to learn Sushi is a dish of rice another vegetables and fish,,,sometimes!.!. Sashimi is just fish

Here is the deal think of a raw cold hot dog or bologna salami you eat them all the time
the fish will be tender maybe even flake apart just with your tongue BUT it will be firm but it will be sweet!.!.
here another point
Sushi and Sashimi grades of meat are harvested "at sea" processed with in hours "at sea" and flash frozen
the various governments have inspectors to grade the meat the Sushi and Sashimi quality are required to remain frozen until all known bacteria can be guaranteed dead
like a week,, 2 !? Then distributed to remote wholesale cold storage plants in the various cities

Sushi and Sashimi are safe and delicious!.
