What are some good and famous Jamaican foods?!
I'm doing a project on Jamaica and I need some Jamaican food and its recipe, too!. If any of you guys know any good Jamaican food, help me out here!. You don't need to give me the recipe but if you know it, that's even better!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Jerk Chicken
1 tsp Allspice
1tsp Ground Cinnamon
1tsp Dried Thyme
1/4 tsp Grated Nutmeg
2 tsp Demerra Sugar
2 Garlic Cloves crushed
1 TBSP chopped onion
1TBSP spring onion
2TBSP Vinegar
2TBSP oil
1TBSP lime juice
1 hot chili pepper chopped
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix all this together and mash to form a paste!. Rub mixture on chicken and make a few slits into the chicken and rub in slits!. Place the chicken in a covered dish and let marinate (prefer overnight)!.
Brush a little oil on chicken and cook on the grill or place on baking sheet and cook !.
Coconut Rice
1 cup of rice
1 cup of coconut milk
Boil water and coconut milk add rice, reduce heat and let cook to water disappears!.
RICE AND PEAS RECIPE
INGREDIENTS:
Serves: 4-5
1 medium sized can red kidney beans
1 can coconut milk
2 cups of rice
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, chopped
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
1 table spoon oil
1 scotch bonnet pepper (whole, do not chop up)

Drain the liquid from the can of beans into a measuring cup and add the can of coconut milk and enough water to make four cups of liquid!. Place liquids in a pot with beans, onions, garlic, thyme and oil, bring to a boil!. Add rice and stir for a minute!. Reduce heat to Medium-Low!. Place scotch bonnet pepper on top of liquid and cover tightly for 30 minutes or until rice is cooked!. Remove scotch bonnet pepper before serving!.
