Do you know of another name for ?ame root?!

Question: Do you know of another name for ?ame root!?
My husband went to a naturapath for a food plan to combat his arthritis!. While the plan has been extremely effective, I've been very curious about the directive to abandon potatoes, while being able to consume other root vegetables such as yucca, malanga, and ?ame!. I've done internet searches, and have located information about yucca (after discovering it was also called 'cassava') and malanga, but can't find anything about ?ame!. I have not problem purchasing any of these items here in Orlando, and I've been enjoying cooking with them for about 6 months now!. It seems they are primarily imported from Costa Rica!. Can anyone tell me if there is another name for ?ame root, and possibly connect me to an informational link!? Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
