What is that spice that's in some Italian food that makes peoples breath smell so horrible?!

Question: What is that spice that's in some Italian food that makes peoples breath smell so horrible!?
It was in the old Sicilian pizza from Pizza Hut!. When my family would eat the stuff the whole house would reek of it the next morning from their breath!. I hated that pizza so I didn't get the breath!. They occasionally come home with it when they eat Italian foods!. Oh and it's not garlic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Sicilian-style pizza has its toppings baked directly into the crust!. An authentic recipe uses neither cheese nor anchovies!. “Sicilian” pizza in the United States is typically a different variety of product made with a thick crust characterized by a rectangular shape and topped with tomato sauce and cheese (and optional toppings)!. Pizza Hut’s “Sicilian Pizza”, introduced in 1994, is not an authentic example of the style as only garlic, basil, and oregano are mixed into the crust;

It is the garlic, trust me!. Its large portions of it too!. Garlic gets into a persons pores!. So the next day they wreak of garlic because they sweat it all out and it makes a house, a person, trash and everything smell like garlic!. Even if you use it, you dont use as much as they do so u dont get the effect!.

[edit] Side Effects
After eating a large quantity of garlic, a person will usually have halitosis!. Their sweat and excreted oils will also smell like garlic!. If an extremely large amount of garlic has been consumed, the person's mucus, vaginal discharge, dandruff, and even earwax will also smell like garlic!. Washing the body with soap will not take away the scent, although perfumes will mask the scent!. The smell usually fades over the course of several days

Bert,
Since you already know which company makes it, and the product name they use, all you'd need to do is contact Corporate and ask them!. I'm sure that there may be 'some' proprietary parts of the recipe, but they should be able to let you know of something other than Garlic that may be the culprit!.
Maybe it's the fennel!? I know that I don't care for fennel seed that they often put in sausage!. That's all I can think of!. Fennel looks like a tiny elongated watermelon (is my best description)!. Has a very strong taste!.!.!.

Good luck in solving your mystery!

well, it is most likely a dehydrated form of garlic, like garlic powder or garlic salt!. it smells alot different than real, fresh garlic!. and it will stink up a persons house and breath for days!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Please take it from this Italian, Pizza Hut in NO WAY resembles Italian food!. Basil and oregano actually help PREVENT bad breath, so it's not them!.

It's just the horrible way they cook, lol!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
