Answers:
I have eaten sushi in Japan and the US!. The nigiri style, a piece of fish on rice, is basically the same in Japan and the US except in Japan the slices are usually bigger!. The main difference is the hand roll!. In the US, hand rolls are very popular and more varied!. There are virtually no hand rolls in Japan!. Hand rolls look like open ended burritos with seaweed as the wrap!. they are eaten like a sandwich!.

The other type of roll is the Maki sushi!. Maki look like long tubes before they are cut up!. The outside is seaweed and in the middle is meat or what ever!. Rice fills in the rest!. They are cut across the tube about two inches a part!. In the US, these rolls are varied in what in in them!. There are whole menus of them in many sushi bars!. In Japan they usually stick to the traditional maki that has tuna or cucumber in the middle!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

That depends on where it's made!. I've been to top-rated sushi restaurants in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego!. So, I would assume they're pretty authentic!. I don't know if I could say the same for a sushi place in, say, Cleveland!.

One of my favorites is the sea eel!. It has a great flavor and doesn't taste raw at all!. Same with ahi!. Some sushis are cooked, if just a little bit!. Spicy shrimp is!.

And, don't be afraid to try something new!. The only things I have ever had on or in sushi that I didn't like was caviar (I don't get that at all) and octopus (it's like chewing rubber bands)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

you could honestly get good, high quality, authentic sushi anywhere!. But the only difference about eating it in japan is the real authentic feel of the japanese enviroment!.

Thats what i think!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Depends on where you go and how much you spend!.

To be honest Sushi in the U!.S will not be same as Japan in 99% of the Sushi restaurants!. The 1% that serve authentic sushi are extremely expensive!.

i think that too!.!.

i think it would be hard to make raw fish differently by far!.!. esp!.!. it only would depend if the fish was caught in japanese seas or american seas!. !.lol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I hear it is but the only thing I like raw are my vegetables!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It is if it's authentic!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
