What is this fruit? ?!
I have received a weird fruit, I think it is Spanish! It looks like a cactus but it is flat and almond shaped!. There are spikes sticking out of it!. What is it!?!?!? Please help! Www@FoodAQ@Com

Have you cut it open!? And it is not Spanish, it is of African origin (it is also called an African horned cucumber because it is a member of the cucumber family -- yet still grown and sold as a fruit)!.
