Anti pasta, has bowls off different toppings around the regular pasta and you can help yourself to mix your own combination
This a recipe of an anti pasta my friend made for her party!.


Ingredients

* 1 medium roasted red bell pepper, peeled, seeded and julienne
* 1 medium roasted yellow bell pepper, peeled, seeded and julienne
* 1 medium roasted green bell pepper, peeled, seeded and julienne
* Drizzle extra virgin olive oil
* Salt
* Freshly ground black pepper
* 4 stalks celery, thinly sliced and blanched
* Drizzle truffle oil
* 2 to 3 pounds assorted dry and semi-dry sausages
* 1/2 pound wedge of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
* 2 dozen toasted crouton rounds (olive oil, salt and pepper)

Directions

In a mixing bowl, combine the peppers!. Season with a drizzle of olive oil, salt and pepper!. Set aside!. In another mixing bowl, combine the sliced celery!. Season with a drizzle of truffle oil, salt and pepper!. Build your anti-pasta platter, with the sliced sausages, roasted red peppers, Celery Truffle Salad, Marinated Beans, cheese and croutons!.

Nicky is right!. The actual term is "antipasto" and it just means "before a meal"!.

It's basically hors d'oeuvres and usually consists of some sort of cold cuts (salami, coppa, or whatever) olives, maybe some grilled vegetables such as zucchini or sliced eggplant!. The actual ingredients depend on what's available in whatever region you're eating it!.

A typical Italian meal has the antepasto, then some sort of pasta or rice dish (which are always first courses) and then a meat or fish dish of some sort!.Dessert often consists of fruit or occasionally, cheeses!. Www@FoodAQ@Com
