Are fremented Vegetables Halal?!

Question: Are fremented Vegetables Halal!?
i know that alcohol are made by the fermentation process but so is bread, so are vegetables that have gone through the same process halal!. would food like Kimchi be OK to eat!?

ThanksWww@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
There is no alcohol produced during the fermentation of vegetables, it is a cell breakdown allowing the products to soften and preserve there flavours, kimchi is nothing but cabbage, spices, garlic, fish sauce, salt, chili's and chili paste!. It really only breaks down but the gases from the chemical reaction of the other ingredients is somewhat like the fermentation process, I would say no, but checking with an expert would be best!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
