What type of sushi should i try today?!

Question: What type of sushi should i try today!?
Answers:
When I signed on tonight I had "sushi" on my mind!.!.sounds like the name of a song!.!.!.LOL seriously I did!

We have a new grocery store that opened yesterday and they had samples of sushi they create and it was terrific!.!.!.!.I enjoyed two pieces of it!. I told the sushi chef that I made my first sushi roll last week but I had a problem I filled it with too many ingredients so after it was rolled I ended up with pieces too large to put in my mouth! LOL
So I learned a lot from my error!.

Here is what I put on my first roll it was very good and maybe you have these ingredients in your refrigerator you can give it a try!.

"Mama Jazzy Geri's first sushi roll"
Nori
cooked and seasoned sushi rice
wasabi
pickled ginger side item
cucumber
carrot
steamed shrimp
toasted sesame seeds
creamed cheese with green onions/ scallions

Prepare rice and put aside covered with cloth
peel and seed cucumber cut into match stick size
peel and grate carrot
steam shrimp and cut lengthwise
mix creamed cheese and add chopped green onion

Place mat in front of you with plastic wrap over mat then place toasted nori on mat now spread seasoned rice over nori!.!.!.spread:
creamed cheese with onions
toasted sesame seeds
shrimp
cucumber and carrots
dots of wasabi paste to taste

roll up sushi roll and squeeze gently to tighten!.!.then with very sharp knife cut into serving size pieces and enjoy!.!.!.have soy sauce ready and pickled ginger!.!.!.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I did !.

Best sushi wishes,
Mama Jazzy Geri

Well I guess that would depend on what you like, some people who eat sushi do not like fish!. In that case I would recommend the california roll or the crab rolls even the ebi which is shrimp!. If you are daring and like fish I would try a sampler platter!. This way you have a variety of different fish and seafood to choose from!. In any case when you get to the restaurant they generally have a list that describes what rolls contain what!.
Happy eating :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

I would stick to the traditional Japanese and not the modern:

Nigiri-zushi - tako (octopus), unagi (freshwater eel), anago (sea eel), ika (squid), and tamago (sweet egg)!.

Gunkan-maki - roe, natto, oysters, sea urchin, and quail eggs!.

Futomaki - tiny fish eggs

Kappamaki - with cucumber to clear the palate between eating raw fish and other kinds of food, so that the flavors of the fish are distinct from the tastes of other foods!.

Tekkamaki - filled with raw tuna!.

Negitoromaki - filled with scallion and chopped fatty tuna!.

Uramaki - rice on the outside and the nori inside: roe or toasted sesame seeds; tuna, crab meat, avocado, mayonnaise, cucumber, carrots!.

oh eat lots of Gari (pickled ginger)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Anything rocks if its SUSHI! I prefer unagi roll (eel) which is pretty good with an Amazing sauce!. If your not a fish eater California roll it has invitation crab meat, avocado, cucumber and lots of things!. One of the best though I would have to say is caterpillar roll its outer part of the sushi is all avocado and eel and the inside the same but with cucumber and sauce added its truly fantastic :D

Hope you like sushi :D Www@FoodAQ@Com
