Question: Is it true that Americans consume less pork than Europeans!?
If so, which American states consume the least amount of pork per capita and which states consume the most!?Www@FoodAQ@Com


Answers:
Americans basically eat beef as a main entree!. For the swine flesh, it is mostly sausage, but sausage is not main entree!. Sausage is usually eaten as a side during breakfast
The consumption of meats and the meat variety do not vary significantly from state to state!. Pork is more common in South than in North!. Texas actually barbecues whole baby pigs!.

In my opinion, Texas would consume more pork than any other state!. Louisiana would follow Texas!.

Americans definitely consume less pork than Europeans specially French or Germans!. Americans eat Beef Chicken and pork in that order!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I say definitely! I am from the US but I am living in France for school!. I have never eaten so much pork in my life!. Its pretty much a staple here!. They have a huge variety of cured, dried, in brine, smoked, sausages!.!.!. all types of charcuterie!. The use pork very offten to stuff other meats and the fat is used to sautee vegetables or in sausages!. They also make terrines or meatloaf type things using pork!. When they decide to butcher a pig, they try and use every bit of it so nothing is wasted!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
