Ghee is just clarified butter!. Melt your butter slowly and skim off the white foam on top as it forms!. What is left will be golden and clear!. That's ghee!. Here's a detailed set of instructions:

Ghee = clarified butter (butter melted, milk solids settle, clear milkfat poured off the top)

If you don't want to clarify your butter, use peanut oil!. It has the next highest smoke point!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
