If you have a blender or food processor, you also need oil (olive is best), and garlic!. Pepper is also a good idea!. Simply puree your chickpeas and oil until you get the right consistency, and then add the garlic and pepper a bit at a time until you like the taste!

Using one can of chick peas, blend in a food processor or mash by hand in a pestle and mortar with 3 tablespoons of tahini (sesame paste) and a little water to even out the consistency!.
Add garlic to taste (half a clove or a full clove per can of chickpeas), and lemon juice and salt!.
Transfer the hummus to a dish and swirl olive oil on top, along with some fresh chopped herbs (coriander and mint are great) or some roasted cumin (just dry fry some cumin seeds in a frying pan until they start popping) makes a great topping too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

In a food processor blend chick peas with tahini, oregano, garlic, salt, pepper, lemon juice, and whatever else you want to flavor it with!. It is a really easy spread to make!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
