Answers:
When my family have a gathering, we usually do beef skewer!. The only difference is we use the lemon grass and spices seasoning!. Well, I don't know why you want to do a Cambodian dish for him, I'm pretty sure he's going to go home to get some home cooking anyway!. But if you want to do it, that's probably one of the typical party favorites!.

Here is the seasonings: I don't have the exact measurement, we just eyeball it according to the amount and the people who will be at the party!. You might want to use chuck part of the beef where it's not to chewy or tender, just the right taste!.

Lemon grass, if not fresh you can buy it frozen and already finely chopped
galanga root
some kaffir leaves (optional)
garlic (lots of them)
tumeric powder
salt & pepper to taste

mix all seasonings together with thick sliced beef and grill them on
the b-b-que grill

don't forget the beer to go with it, usually heineken!.
