If you have a natural food store that sells Tahini in bulk, pus sesame seeds, you can make your own, even if you use sweetened condensed milk it is fine to, I make a caramel, with white and brown sugar, when done, I ad a bit of water, then the milk and cook it, then a cup or two of tahini, now if you like nuts, this is were you can add pistachios, almond, hazelnut, either whole, chopped or flaked, then if you like texture, a few roasted sesame seed, then pour the mix into a plastic wrap and oil or buttered loaf pan and let it set, even chill it!.
You can make it with out the milk but you need 2-3 times the Tahini then and that can be expensive and it is alot more pastey!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
