Do Chinese Americans feel dishonorable about selling Americanized Chinese food?!

Question: Do Chinese Americans feel dishonorable about selling Americanized Chinese food!?
I understand that many "chinese" restaurants are also run by Koreans, Japanese, etc!., but how do they feel about calling sweet, saucy, meaty, Americanized rice dishes "Chinese"!?
Are they ashamed to call it Chinese, or are they proud of their profitable business deal!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Chinese Americans feel proud, but certainly not the Chinese!. I'm Chinese-Korean, and honestly, i feel rather disgusted that many people think all these food is Chinese, when they are most certainly not!.

For example, i've NEVER heard of Orange Chicken or Chow Mein as Chinese food!. What we have here in Singapore is entirely different!. My mother, who's Chinese, tells me that Orange Chicken or Chow Mein has never existed as Chinese food!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't think they are ashamed because it makes for great profits!. I usually go to Asian restaurants if I know they are more frequented by Asians because the food is more authentic than some lame, "Americanized" buffet!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

They are proud, not only because it's profitable, but , because they are proud of how people like it!. They love to see people enjoy the food they have prepared!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
