Can someone please tell me what a Vada is in Indian Cookery

Answers:
It isnt sweet, so technically donut sounds misleading!. It only looks like a donut, doesnt taste anything like it!. And not all vadas are donut shaped!. I would describe it as a deep fried, fritter like, savory snack!.

No!. It is not pastry!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Vada's are not at all donuts and they are not sweet!.Some of them just look like donuts!.They are fried snack made out of Dal,potatoes, etc!. Some of the examples are dahi vada,(Vada in yogurt with chutneys),Sambhar vada,Medu vada, etc!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
