What is an easy French entree?!

Question: What is an easy French entree!?
For my French class we I have the option to make an authentic meal for my family, so I was wondering if you know of something I could cook that's fairly easy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
A classic French main plate is roasted chicken with potatoes!. Just roast a chicken and some potatoes together in a pan, sprinkle them with herbs de provence and some olive oil!. Serve that with a green salad, and it's a very classic French meal! Another easy option is ratatouille!. It's a tasty vegetable stew!. Coq au vin is just chicken cooked in red wine, and boef bourginon is beef cooked in red wine!. I would say these are all easy things to make!. Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd recommend a classic French bistro meal steak au poivre!. I've attached a link to a recipe, it's usually served with steamed or roasted asparagus and potatoes (mashed would be fine, but you could also do lyonnaise)!. I'd also serve a salad to start, another classic would be a simple goat cheese salad w/ a vinaigrette!.

While looking for the lyonnaise recipe on cooks illustrated I saw a recipe for a classic French pot roast as well!. Here's the link, in case you want something different!.

If this is all too complicated or too much work you could always make croque monsieur's, which are simply grilled ham and gruyere sandwiches served with either a salad or french onion soup!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
