Answers:
I think "Northern Food" would be meat and potatoes!. Pot Roast, Gravy & Mashed Potatoes!. Steaks and French Fries!. Beef Stew or Chili!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Where do you live!? Is there something that's considered specialty in your area!?
If you're around NYC, you should definitely have bagels, cheese cake, and corned beef sandwiches at least once!. If you're in New England, corn chowder and some good fish!. If you're in Chicago- chicago style pizza!. If you're in Ohio, buckeyes, maybe Cincinnati style chili, or Barberton chicken!. When I lived in Ohio, I loved pierogies- they are definitely not a "northern" food, but there aren't as many Polish people down South, so it was difficult to get good pierogies!. Www@FoodAQ@Com

So weird, Ive never heard "northern food" before and I consider myself quite a "foodie"!.

Being from New England (which is pretty far north) I think of clam chownder, boiled lobster, fried clams when I think of northern food!. try getting some salmon or something if the lobsters or clams aren't available in your area!.
also, DONT EVER make Manhattan Clam chowder, Boston clam chowder is the only way to go!.!.!. none of that red chowdah, it's gotta be white! lol!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I guess it depends on Northern where!? If New England, I think of New England boiled dinners, chowder, clam cakes, saugies!. North Central connotes steaks, Chicago pizza, brats, cheeses, beer!. Northwest, big honking oysters and fruits, halibut!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
